What platforms do you use to build apps?

Our platform of choice is Bubble to build webapps. We also use third party integrations where necessary for additional features.

Why Bubble.io?

Bubble.io is one of the longest running (8 years) & one of the largest NoCode platforms with 1.3million users and $100million in funding.

Many NoCode platforms focus on a particular niche aspect but Bubble provides the ability to combine any type of Design, Logic & Data capabilities.

Bubble is a very flexible and professional no-code platform. It is scalable and integrates with almost any other service. With Bubble.io you can build your app quickly and have more time to actually scale your business.

How can I know if Bubble.io suits my project?

You can generally build any web application using Bubble.

A web application consists of 4 main parts and Bubble provides all of these in a very flexible way:

Design (What you see)
Data (What you store in a server somewhere)
Logic (What happens when a user clicks something)
Hosting (servers that make our app appear on amazingdomain.com)

There are scenarios where you can hit an edge but the edge keeps pushing away. Bubble raised $100 million in July 2021 to keep pushing the edge.

Bubble has a very flexible plugin infrastructure and we have worked on custom plugins before although we try to adjust the requirement to avoid them. They can be time-consuming and costly to get right.

I am not technical, how should I describe my app idea to you?

We translate requirements into Bubble day in day out, so don’t worry about it. We’ll sit together with our product managers to understand the problem you are trying to solve and suggest the best course of action.

What programming language is used in Bubble and can I export code?

Bubble is built on NodeJS and the app is exportable as JSON. No other platform can import this, as it is proprietary to Bubble.

Are there any ongoing costs when the project is complete?

You will only need to pay for a Bubble plan. We recommend starting with the professional plan. The costs for hosting and storage are included with Bubble plans.

Service applications like Stripe, Paypal, etc. may incur additional costs.

Do you offer a fixed price and time for my build?

Fixed price will be quoted for a fixed scope of work. The scope and price will be agreed before we start building.

The price and time is defined in the scope of work that we agree in advance. In case of additional features or designs the price will be readjusted accordingly.

Do you work on existing Bubble apps?

Unfortunately, no. We have tried this before and it doesn’t quite work.

A half-built buggered app is like a house that is built without plumbing. You can keep trying to fix it in places but the end result will just be an ugly mess.

We prefer to build the app from scratch. If the app exists already and you want to modify it’s better to rebuild the app as it is faster and in most cases, also cost effective.

How long does it take to build a project using bubble.io?

A small MVP can take as little as 2-3 weeks. A larger project that is part of business process tooling can easily take a few months. Keep in mind, this is still at least 3x faster than traditional coded projects.

What are the risk factors building with Bubble.io?

Nothing out of the ordinary. You are always tied to some platform even when you choose pure coded solutions.
If your app is built right then you have got nothing to worry about.

Are Bubble.io apps secure?

Definitely. Bubble.io has built-in security features in place to ensure the security of your app.

With Bubble’s user authentication, you can control access to your app's data and functionality. This allows you to restrict access to certain pages or data based on a user's role or permissions.

Bubble's data validation feature ensures that any data entered into your app is in the correct format and meets certain criteria. This helps prevent malicious users from entering invalid or harmful data into your app.
